CogArena: A Multimethod Evaluation of Cognitive Ability Structure in Large Language Models

Benchmarks tell us where a model ranks, not how its competence is put together. CogArena applies a multimethod evaluation design, borrowed from how cognitive ability structure is studied in humans, to large language models, and recovers the latent organization of their abilities across tasks.
